How to configure POP account for Office 365 mailbox
- Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add > Type Profile Name as per your choice
- Choose Manual setup or additional server types > Next > POP or IMAP > Next
- Put the required details i.e Your Name, Email Address, Account Type, User Name & Password
- Incoming Mail Server: outlook.office365.com
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.office365.com
- Click on More Settings > Outgoing Server > Enable “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”
- Go to Advanced
- Incoming server (POP3): 995
- Enable “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)”
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: STARTTLS or SSL/TLS
- Remove from Server after: We recommend 14 days max, but you should never leave a copy of email on the server for more than 30 days.
- Click on OK > Click on Test Account Settings.
- Once both the Tasks get completed you are all set now.
