How to configure POP account for Office 365 mailbox

  1. Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add > Type Profile Name as per your choice
  2. Choose Manual setup or additional server types > Next > POP or IMAP > Next
  3. Put the required details i.e Your Name, Email Address, Account Type, User Name & Password
  4. Incoming Mail Server:
  5. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):

  1. Click on More Settings > Outgoing Server > Enable “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”

  1. Go to Advanced
  2. Incoming server (POP3): 995
  3. Enable “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)”
  4. Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
  5. Use the following type of encrypted connection: STARTTLS or SSL/TLS
  6. Remove from Server after: We recommend 14 days max, but you should never leave a copy of email on the server for more than 30 days.

  1. Click on OK > Click on Test Account Settings.
  2. Once both the Tasks get completed you are all set now.
