Refer to this article for an overview of Price Indexation in Work 365.

This guide details how to apply indexation manually to a billing contract.

Here are the steps to apply indexation on a billing contract manually.

  1. Ensure the indexation settings in the Work 365 configuration are updated

  1. Ensure the indexation settings of the billing contract are updated.

  1. Hit the Work 365 drop down on the billing contract and select “Apply Indexation”

  1. In the popup window, the rate populate will show either the Billing Contract indexation rate or the Configuration settings indexation rate (if no BC index rate is applied).

  1. Update the Apply On date to the preferred date which the indexation will be applied by the system.

  1. Note if the date defined is the current date immediate indexation will be applied after this is submitted

  1. If a future date is defined, the system will create a scheduled change log which will schedule the price indexation for that defined date.

  1. Also note the last column on this page of the subscription selling prices which will be updated to those prices after the indexation has been applied.

  1. Hit submit

  1. After submitting a successful screen will appear. Then open the subscription from the expand icon shown

  1. When the indexation effective date (“apply on” date) is set to a date in the future, submitting the page will result in the subscription creating a scheduled change log record.

  1. Note the effective date is the same as the indexation date which was defined previously. The subscription event is an update event. Quantity change here shows 0 since now quantity change is being made on this. Also note the Pending Status Reason indicating this change will be in a pending state until that effective date has arrived.

  2. Once that date has arrived the scheduled change log will merge with the subscription, and the system will apply the indexation to the subscription automatically on that date. Refer to Scheduled Change Logs for more guidance.
