There are a variety of reasons to why an invoice may not look correct in Work 365. Most common reason is Subscription being updated incorrectly.

Below is a list of items to look for when troubleshooting why an invoice looks incorrect.
  1. Does the issue pertain to Azure billing? If so refer to this article
  2. If the issue is related to License billing check these items:
    1. Looking at the per unit pricing on the invoices, do those match the subscription pricing?
      1. Look at the license change log history on the subscription. Is there any incorrect price somewhere in the change log history that could be causing the issue? (recommended view to look at is the Active License Change Log view)
    2. Look at the quantities on the invoice, do the full cycle line items match the current subscription quantity. Do the mid-term changes line up with the license change log history on the subscription record.
    3. Are there any discounts on the subscription not applied to the invoice line items.
    4. Are there line items missing from the invoice which should be on the invoice?
      1. Compare the subscription dates to the contract cycle being invoiced. Are there newer subscriptions which have an effective date in the future and thus would be invoiced in a future billing cycle.
      2. Are there inactive subscription which should actually be active?
        1. If there is an inactive subscription which should actually stay inactive, but the prorated credit is missing on the invoice look at the "deactivate" lcl record. Is it archived when it should be active for billing?
      3. Look at the license change logs on the subscriptions; is there a license change log which is archived but should actually be active for billing?
    5. Are there line items on the invoice which should not be on the invoice?
      1.     Are there active subscriptions which have expired and should no longer be active, and need to be deactivated?
      2. Are there mid-term changes with prorated line items on the invoice which should not be there? Go into the subscription, and check the associated license change logs. Did the system invoice a change log which was active but should have been inactive?
